Friends and alumni of the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science:
Our goal is to create the “Terri Fiez Fund for Undergraduate Project Support.” Our goal is to raise $25,000 or more to endow annual support for unique learning experiences in EECS. We are creating this fund in part to honor our former School of EECS Director, Terri Fiez, who is the current 2016 IEEE Undergraduate Teaching Award winner and the Vice President for Research at the University of Colorado. If the $25,000 goal is not met to create an endowment, the funds will be placed in a current use EECS account for similar programs.
Here are just some of the amazing programs that this fund could support:
The teams that compete in Intel’s Cornell Cup; the same teams that made it to the Cornell Cup finals in 2014 and were awarded third place in 2015. Read about it here!
The OSU branch of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, which took first place in the payload competition at the Intercollegiate Rocketry Engineering Competition. Read about AIAA here!
HWeekend; a free annual event by the College of Engineering in which students work to create a marketable project from scratch. You can read about it here!
Not to mention the teams that compete in Mars Rover, Formula Car, and Unmanned Aerial and Underwater Vehicle national and international competitions.
Please note that if your employer offers a matching gift opportunity, you can double your gift! The funds that you donate will help provide funding for parts and materials, equipment, entry fees, and team travel.
Thanks for your support.
